When I look up towards the black sky
Through shadow, to the edge of night
I see the stars up oh so high
I marvel at their shining light
Light twists and turns, through the never
Like unknown eyes out in the dark
Out to the edge of forever
The light travels to make its mark
As I lay gazing at a star
Thoughts start to drift up in my mind
I wonder if a place so far
Has a creature that’s like my kind
Far away some creatures like you
Are wondering the same things too
